Gods of Retro

This will actually be the last episode for the time being!See if you can listen to the whole thing.Cheers

This episode details a little-known adventure game for the Master System, set in the Phantasy Star world. Its name is Hoshi wo Sagashite, or, as it's known because of the fan translation, The Story of Mio.

This episode marks the beginning of a Phantasy Star series. We're going through every game from Sega's most important JRPG franchise. All of the old (2D) ones, at least, and not just the four main titles. The first Phantasy Star is a popular title, and I'm confident that this is the most comprehensive lore source about it. The episode also puts effort into highlighting exactly how groundbreaking a game it was, as far as production quality goes.Support the podcast on Patreon ►► https://www.patreon.com/Goati_Join the community ►► https://discord.gg/goatiWatch the livestreams ►► https://twitch.tv/goati_

Gods of Retro #5: Dungeon Master with AshSaidHiAshSaidHi joins Gods of Retro to share her experience with Dungeon Master, which was easily the most influential game in the western computer video game sphere since Wizardry and Ultima released 6-7 years prior.A dungeon crawler, a RPG or a CRPG (Computer RPG), Dungeon Master set itself apart by renouncing the D&D tropes in favor of a simplified system which left no room for unused stats, numbers or bloat. This was the ultimate experience in video game immersion.Support the podcast ►► https://www.patreon.com/Goati_Join the community ►► https://discord.gg/goatiWatch the livestreams ►► https://twitch.tv/goati_
